- 1 teaspoon Sugar optional, to balance acidity
- 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon Dried basil
- 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste
- ½ teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 Bay leaf
- ¼ cup Fresh basil chopped (optional for garnish)
