  • 1 pound fresh or frozen green beans trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces (450g)
  • 1 medium onion chopped (120g)
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup 240g
  • 1/2 cup milk 120ml
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper 5g
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt 2g
  • 2 tablespoons butter 30g
  • 1 1/2 cups French-fried onions 60g

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • In the saucepan, sauté the green beans and onion in butter until tender.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, black pepper, and salt. Stir until smooth.
  • Add the cooked green beans and onions to the soup mixture and stir until coated.
  • Pour the mixture into the 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the French-fried onions over the top of the casserole.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown and the casserole is hot and bubbly.
