- 1 pound fresh or frozen green beans trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces (450g)
- 1 medium onion chopped (120g)
- 1 cup cream of mushroom soup 240g
- 1/2 cup milk 120ml
- 1 teaspoon black pepper 5g
- 1/2 teaspoon salt 2g
- 2 tablespoons butter 30g
- 1 1/2 cups French-fried onions 60g
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
In the saucepan, sauté the green beans and onion in butter until tender.
In a separate mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, black pepper, and salt. Stir until smooth.
Add the cooked green beans and onions to the soup mixture and stir until coated.
Pour the mixture into the 9x13 inch baking dish.
Sprinkle the French-fried onions over the top of the casserole.
Bake for 25 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown and the casserole is hot and bubbly.
