Ingredients

  • 4 cups day-old cooked rice
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 scallions sliced
  • 1 white onion diced
  • 2 tablespoons and 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil separate
  • 1 cup frozen veggies
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon MSG
  • ¾ teaspoon roasted sesame oil
  • ¾ teaspoon ground white pepper
  • Sliced green onions as garnish

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, pour in the 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and allow to get hot.
  • Add in the onions, garlic, scallions, and frozen veggies, and stir fry for about 3 minutes.
  • Add the day-old cooked rice to the skillet, and combine with the veggies. Break any rice clumps you see.
  • Add in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, MSG salt, and white pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Now, push the fried rice to one side of the skillet. Add the remaining teaspoon of vegetable oil to the empty side. Allow to heat up, break in the eggs, and cook until scrambled, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir the eggs into the fried rice and mix everything properly, breaking any large piece of egg.
  • Turn off the heat, drizzle some toasted sesame oil over the rice, and toss around to combine. Taste and season with more salt and pepper if needed.
  • Garnish with some freshly sliced green onions. Enjoy!
