Leftover Ham Fried Rice Recipe

This recipe stops you from getting rid of your leftover ham, and in the end, you get a simple and tasty fried rice with leftover ham.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups of cooked ham diced, obviously
  • 5 cups of cooked white rice long grain, at least a day old
  • 3 whole eggs lightly beaten
  • 1 cup of white onions chopped
  • ½ cup of bell pepper diced, optional
  • ¼ cup of sesame oil
  • ¼ cup of soy sauce
  • cup of green onions chopped
  • 3 large garlic cloves chopped
  • 2 teaspoons of onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons of fish sauce optional
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Place a large skillet over medium-high heat, add in 2 tablespoons of sesame oil and when it's hot, toss in the cooked ham and let it cook for about 2 minutes until it is browned on the outside. Remove the ham from the skillet, and set aside.
  • Now, add 1 more tablespoon of sesame oil to the skillet. Add in the eggs and cook till you get well-done scrambled eggs. Remove the eggs from the skillet, and set aside.
  • Add in more tablespoon of sesame oil to the pan. Allow to heat before adding in the chopped onions and garlic, and cook for about 2 minutes.
  • Add in two more tablespoons of sesame oil, and toss in the rice, soy sauce, fish sauce, garlic powder, and ginger powder. Stir the ingredients and cook for about 6-8 minutes, or until the rice is golden brown.
  • After the rice is well cooked, add in the ham, eggs, green onions, and bell pepper. Stir together, and cook for about 3 minutes.
  • Viola! your tasty fried rice with leftover ham is ready!
