Mounds Bar Recipe: Healthy Christmas Treat
This recipe is quite simple to prepare as it only needs 3 ingredients and takes less than an hour to be ready for serving. Despite its simplicity, the Mounds bar turns out to be super delicious and flavorful.

- 2 cups of shredded coconut sweetened or unsweetened
- ½ cup of sweetened condensed milk
- 12 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips
In a mixing bowl, pour in the coconut and milk, then mix properly till they're well combined and sticky but easy to mould.
Mould the coconut mixture into 8 equally sized bars, then place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place them in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Pour the chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl, then microwave in 30-second bursts while stirring in between to make everything completely melted.
Dip the chilled coconut bars in the melted chocolate, and make sure it is well coated. Set aside on a parchment paper and allow to cool and firm up.
Viola! Your Mounds bar is ready, and enjoy it with friends and family.
- If the coconut mixture isnt thick enought to be moulded into bars, then add a little bit more shredded coconut to the mix.
- You can place the coated coconut bars in the fridge for a couple of minutes to speed up the firming process.
- If you can't get chocolate chips, you can use chocolate bars or chocolate melting wafers.
