Combine Liquids: In a large pot or slow cooker, pour the apple cider, orange juice, and pineapple juice. Stir to mix.
Add Sweetener: Stir in the brown sugar until dissolved.
Infuse Spices: Add the cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, allspice berries, and orange slices. If you prefer easy removal of the spices later, tie them in a piece of cheesecloth or a tea infuser.
Simmer: Heat the mixture over low heat for about 2 hours. Do not let it boil; gentle heat allows the spices to infuse properly. If using a slow cooker, set it on low.
Add Apples: During the last 30 minutes, add the apple slices for extra flavor and visual appeal.
Optional Alcohol: If making an adult version, stir in the brandy or rum just before serving.
Serve: Strain the wassail into mugs, leaving behind the spices and fruit slices. Garnish with an additional cinnamon stick or orange slice if desired.
