Delicious Potato Salad Recipe

Potato salad – the ultimate summer side dish! There’s something about the creamy texture and tangy flavor that just screams “picnic” or “barbecue”.
I mean, who doesn’t love a good potato salad? It’s like the perfect combination of comforting carbs and refreshing flavors all mixed together in one delicious bowl. And the best part? It’s so easy to make!
Just boil up some potatoes, chop ’em up, and toss ’em with some mayonnaise, mustard, and diced veggies like onions and carrots. Add some salt and pepper to taste, and you’re good to go! You can even get fancy and add some diced hard-boiled eggs or pickles for extra flavor.

  • 1 large pot
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Whisk
  • Bowl
  • Spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 4 large potatoes peeled and chopped into 1-inch cubes (600g)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise 120g
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard 30g
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill 15g
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives 15g
  • Salt and pepper to taste (2g)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped red onion 30g
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs diced (100g)

Instructions
 

  • Place the chopped potatoes in a large pot and add enough cold water to cover them. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.
  • Drain the potatoes and let them cool to room temperature.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Add the chopped dill, chives, red onion, and hard-boiled eggs to the bowl and stir until well combined.
  • Add the cooled potatoes to the bowl and stir until they are fully coated with the dressing.
  • Chill the potato salad in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use high-quality mayonnaise and mustard for the best flavor.
  • Don't overmix the potato salad, or it will become too thick and sticky.
  • Experiment with different herbs and spices, like paprika or garlic powder, for added flavor.
  • Make the potato salad ahead of time and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours before serving.
